Porcelain facade

I never knew
The girl who smiled
The girl girl I saw on magazines
The life of the party
Was the broken porcelain inside
Carved insides that bleed so bad she drowns in her nightmares
I never knew she wailed and wished for one person to stand with her
Feet stuck in the mud of that night, a night she couldn’t make a sound
Her wounds in her mind never heal,
The bandages she puts in during the day with smiles and nonchalance soak with self blame
As she gazed at cameras with so much confidence she was hiding in plain sight
A bird with such beautiful wings that could fly her anywhere but she just wishes to go high until the sun melted her to smithereens
Its not all prerty faces that are unmarred
Inside are girls taken advantage of and damaged by men so bad they would carve the outside od their bodies to look like inside
NO MEANS NO
NO CONSENT MEANS NO
RAPE IS NEVER A CHOICE
NO ONE ASKS TO BE RAPED.
